The BYS will be running the exciting new Tackers program at the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron in season 2010-11.

Tackers is a new Yachting Australia program intoduced to get more primary school aged children sailing in a fun and friendly evironment.

The BYS webcam is now live.  A new section has been added to the top left of the BYS homepage titled "BYS Webcam & Weather Station".  This is the quickest way to access the webcam and weather station.  Just click on the link.

The webcam is easy to use, just follow the instructions on the webcam page.  The webcam allows users to control the camera via a number of preset stations or to use the panning and zoom functions.  The current set-up only allows one user at a time (limited to 60 seconds).

The inaugural Wild Oats Winter Dinner to raise funds for the development of junior sailing at BYS was held last night (Thursday 29 July) in the function room at Life Saving Victoria Port Melbourne.

Around 100 BYS members and guests attended the evening.  A highlight of the night was the informative interview with Mark Richards (Principal Helmsman on Wild Oats XI) which was conducted by Rob Mundle (International Author & Yachtsman).
